| My experience as a
prosecutor, husband, father and businessman will
allow me to effectively serve the people of Staten
Island’s south shore in the New York City Council.
With each passing day, Staten Island residents are
confronted with new problems. Over-crowded schools,
traffic congestion and the loss of our open spaces
make it more important now than ever before to have
a Council Member who knows how to get results. I
will work tirelessly to ensure that our Police,
Firemen, and Teachers have the support they need
to answer their calling. When it comes to the needs
of our Community, “no” is not an option.
Like my predecessors, Councilman Stephen Fiala and
Congressman Vito Fossella, my allegiance will be
to the people of the Staten Island - period! That
is why I have earned their endorsements in this
election.
With its proximity to Manhattan and suburban
setting, Staten Island has long been the ideal
place to raise a family. Unfortunately, we are
now faced with becoming the victim of our own
success. Unbridled development and ineffective
enforcement of archaic zoning regulations threaten
our community way of life. As your Councilman,
I pledge to vigorously continue our battle for
down zoning while pursuing sensible building regulations,
which will prevent development that is out of
character with our neighborhoods.
If you entrust me with your vote on Election
Day, I promise to bring hard work, dedication
and common sense solutions to the City Council.
