1. What is the most important issue in Council District 28 you would address if elected?
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT At present business in the 28th Councilmanic District is seriously lacking in certain sectors. We would pay particular attention to bringing wholesome family oriented enterprises into the district.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
EDUCATION Is very important. It is known that proper education deters criminal activity. It is vital to allow our youth to be engaged in positive Community Based Mentoring and Educational Programs. Senior Citizens: They have worked hard all of their lives to pave the way for us, so it's only fitting for us to always make sure they have a place to socialize, relax, feel safe and secure. Our youth need to connect with them and understand the importance of RESPECT and SERVICES. Community and Police Relations To Reduce Crime The Community and Police Force must work together to reduce crime. Certain tactics are allowed because the community might not be educated as to what their rights are.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I've been a member of this community for over forty (40) years, and witnessed the neglect by our present Political Leadership. I've led the charge in moving drug sales and other crimes from a community literally under siege, and replaced it with a youth and family oriented program called: Keep Elevating Youth Services (K.E.Y.S.) Inc. which gives the communities youth a chance to know that they are destined for a brighter future through positive mentoring and examples.
